I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but last year I picked up some blemished 240 grain Horndays from Midway. Holy cow were they bad. Even Steve Wonder could see it. So -- don't be surprised. They did not shoot well because it was not possible to get a consistent seating depth -- the noses where so malformed.

Thanks for the warning Siringo. I was going to order the 240gr Mag bullets. I still may.

There is some risk with Blems, although I've yet to get any that wouldn't shoot. I shot blem 77 grain Noslers for years to practice highpower with no issues. I ordered a couple hundred of the 225s. I'll post how they look when they get here.

Prolly 80% of what I shoot are blems. They have worked well for me, so far..

LOL.. and that's Minute-of-Grizzle.

See Siringo knows I don't shoot so well, cause he's the one who holds our targets while we're shooting. I'm all the time hollering for him to hold them Higher..wink..

Quite honestly, that's the first time I've seen the Hornady FTX's being offered as seconds by Midway. Someone else might be able to speak more accurately to that, but I suspect it will be a learning experience for all.
