So I got 600 of these to use in my 450 and my muzzleloader. I finally had some time to work up some loads and give them a flight downrange. Using h110 I was able to limit them out at 2400 fps but it's not for the faint of heart... my starting loads produced just over 2200 fps. Accuracy was pretty decent on both at 50 yards but I was more after the velocity over the chronograph than I was trying to really sight in the round.
Let me know if you want any of the specs I used, I plan to find the sweet spot for accuracy then work up loads for the fall whitetail season.

For me, the xtp's shot from muzzleloaders in the past have been very accurate but lack expansion and lead to long tracking.

That is likely due to the fact the the 240 is an XTP-MAG, which has the jacket rolled into the HP and makes them tougher than hell. Try the 250 XTP if you want expansion.
