450Bushmaster data in them. Hornady is supposed to have

just loaded some 250 gr xtp with 30 gr of AA9, felt recoil was about the same as factory with nearly no soot
using a hydraulic buffer and a 3 position aluminum stock, no chronograph yet, felt like a 30-30 with a bit sharper "crack"

Ack-Ack-9 is a little fast, but doable. It builds it's pressure very quickly, hence no real sooting, how was extraction,feeding, etc.?
Single loading a mag and then shooting a round, if the bolt holds open, well you don't have a short stroke problem. Whenever doing a new unknown load, this little trick should be done first thing..t

extraction was flawless, feeding from factory mags not real good at all modified a c products mag ( milled off the fake round from green follower and took a 5/8 end mill to the front of the mag where the round feed down a 1/16 and polished all contact areas) bolt holds open every time, did rapid fire = no issues
AA9 loads had less sooting than factory Hornady and no pressure signs
a moderate taper crimp was applied

Terry, have you tried 2400? It doesn't soot either at modest and up loads. Not as fast as AA9 though. If you haven't tapped out Santa already, a chrony would be a great investment.
