BEST 450 BUSHMASTER BULLET FOR BLACK BEAR

I WILL BE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT IN 2 WEEKS ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WHAT BULLET TO USE ? I WAS THINKING MAYBE THE HORNADY 245 GR INTERLOCK. I AM SURE THE 250GR FTX WOULD BE FINE AS LONG AS YOU DONT HIT THEM IN THE SHOULDER.

Actually for Black Bear, I would bet that either the Barnes 200 XPB or 275 XPB/TSX, would be excellent choices. That's what I would use. They're tough, don't break up and expand admirably.

Here's that same old picture I love to post of the 200 XPB:

Even though the petals have fully deployed, they're all still attached like "little, copper, Ginsu knife blades". You you can load the 200's to yield 2500 fps safely. That's like the TKO of a .30-06 pushing the same weight bullet.

I took my black bear with the 275 TSX and the performance was incredible! Granted it is a stout loading, but still. In the top of the left shoulder, exit close to the right arm pit, exit wound the size of a cue ball, and started to suck the lung out the exit. With the amount of damage it did, I don’t see why you couldn’t get away with the 200 XPB inside 100yds.
