Bushmaster Black follower

Fedex just dropped off my upper (yay!!!). Took out the magazine and it has a black follower, not the blue one I've seen pictures of.

Is this the same follower that came with everyone elses 5 round magazine?

Gimme a sec to inhale dinner and resize the pics then I'll post em up. It looks to be a new follower not an add in like the blue one.

I wonder if and when they will offer them for sale.

Also the magazine looks like it was made for this follower. I don't own any steel 20 rounders so I don't have anything to compare it to but the follower runs along some ribs on the inside of the magazine under the feed lips. My 223 magazines don't have this rib. I tried to get a decent pic of it but it's kind of hard to see. This one is stamped Bushmaster 450 on the side. Are all the magazines that come with the uppers stamped like that too? You can kinda see it int he 4th pic.

Cool, thanks.

Yes, that looks like they are making dedicated mags now.

I got a mag and some blue followers in the mail last week, but am still waiting on the complete upper. The mag that I got has the same black follower. The blue followers that I got are the older style that fit over a 223 follower. Hopefully they will offer the 450 followers soon and they won't be as expensive as the blue followers.

I emailed them tonight and asked them this very same question. Hopefully I get a response.
