anyone else's spring make a loud metallic sound after firing? I've never found a solution for it and so far it hasn't gone away on its own.

Remove the spring and spray it with white lithum grease. Worked for me.

After a rain delay we hit the range for a buffer test.

seems the H2 (4.4oz) handles things the best. that was the heaviest we had in the range box.
H (3.6oz) buffer did alright and the standard carbine (2.8oz) had 2 stovepipes
might try a weighted bcg to slow it down more if it needs it

out the box it shot 1moa (100 yards) and grouped 2.8" at 185yards (longest target holder) :P
guys gave me alot of grief about the 100 yard sight-in targets having a 1" center, after the first 3-4 shoots the center
was GONE! :o

very happy with it!!

the recoil pad was a bolt-on from magpul

Good info! Did you notice any change in the speed of the cycling?

The H2 was slower than the standard carbine. Was hard to tell between H and H2 buffers.
All run with standard spring that came with the Magpul ACS.

Will look at a weighted carrier but at this point I do not see the need.

H2 / standard spring cycled great.

Magpul ACS gave it a better balance since this is a 20" barrel.

We put it on a cheap Sharps stripped rec. with a RRA NM 2 stage trigger. It did not operate with
a KNS gen 2 kit installed, (2 stage would not clear safety)!! Went back to standard pins from RRA kit and ran fine ?? Not sure on the Sharps tolerances but thus far (100 rounds) it seem to be doing fine.

Just yesterday I took a doe with the 450 and afterwards didnt even remember feeling any real recoil. After getting back to camp a couple of the guys and I decided to shoot a few rounds thru the 450, they wanted to feel how it shot. After everyone had a few rounds sent down range I swapped out the MGI rate reducer and Wolff XP buffer spring for a stock bushy rifle buffer and spring and let everyone shoot some more and there was a very noticable difference, the MGI and Wolff went right back in. The guys were really surprised at how the 450 handled and shot, and after all those rounds went downrange, they also decided the 450 can be used to harvest trees!!! LOL
