I tried a Fulton Armory "Top Loading Single-Shot Magazine Follower" in a 30 round GI mag and it worked flawlessly. I only got 10 rounds out of the mag for $10 it doubled me 450BM capacity. It snaps in from the top so you don't have to disassemble the mag. It also comes in aluminum but cost more.

I purchased it from bushmaster but you can get them from other places.

There allot of goodies out there that work just fine, as Bad-Bob, points out. If you want two more rounds (total 12rds) you're going to have to modify the follower, as I have outline. Course BB, doesn't need two more rounds for those Renegade Lobsters, he actually needs a belt fed punk'en-gun.

I can't wait until I figure out how to make a 75 round drum!

Went off shore and had some fun shooting at Styrofoam. Ross’s muzzle break worked great! Some of my reloads didn't go bang. 45-70 crimp die will be here Friday! My buddy with the lathe is on stand buy. 12 pack of Heinekens Barley Pop is in the fridge.

i was bored today... so i grabbed 3 different gi 30 rounders i have, and did a little experiment... i will post pics when i get a chance.

1 magpul anti-tilt
1 usgi follower (i think)
1 that looks to be a combo of the above
1 knockoff anti-tilt follower.
Image

the anti-tilt followers would get 7 rounds before the rounds were sticking up out of the lips at an angle
Image

the 1/2&1/2 took about 9 before it started the same
Image

the USGI follower, held 11 stuffed in there but it wouldnt seat, so remove one and you are good to go..
Image

i think i will try to modify the 1/2&1/2 follower and do the whole 1/2" cut out of it and see how that works soon..

i have pics comparing the factory mag, and a sig556 mag to the usgi mags so you can see the difference in how much the cartridge sits in the lips..

Ok BN, the GI and 11rds, if you then mod the follower you'll get 12. And you'll have to mod the follower, cause, the last round usually wont feed. Make sure you tonk down the front half of the feed lips too.

PS, there is some reluctance to mod the follower and I just found out that Bushy will souvenir me their new dedicated follower, I don't know the price yet, but you wont be able to be the price I get, so I told them I need a shoe box full of them. Who wants some? Keep in mind that you'll still need to message the sides a little to make them work. They are the anti-tilt type and I don't know if we'll still be able to get 12rds with them, if I get some time here, I'll try it out.
