Need help on 450BM Hunting Regs (Mag Capacity by State)

We're getting requests for special AR-15 mags/followers that will hold 2 or 3 450BM rounds to comply with various state's hunting regs, and it may be different if the hunter is using a 450BM pistol or a rifle.

For you guys in straight-wall cartridge states, can you clarify the magazine capacity requirements and whether that includes or excludes one up the pipe....ie 3+0 or 2+1?

P.S. I'm not even sure which states are like this. I know Michigan and Ohio, but I believe there are 2 or 3 others as well.

Ohio is 3 total in long gun. Detachable mags do not require a limiter nor do tube Fed mags require a plug.
Handguns have no Mag limits.
There was confusion about Ohio because for years you had to run a duck plug in shotguns during deer season. When the SWC were adopted this reg was dropped due to problem adding a plug to a lever action rifle. Now it is the honor system and prove you have 3 if you get stopped.

I don't think Iowa has a limit.
There was a push to limit to 5, which is okay with me, but the old adage goes to give an inch and they will take a mile applies.
The push lost steam and so no regulations were passed with a max limit.

Colorado is 4+1 for deer and elk. I used a stock 10 rnd AR mag with a BM follower. It held 4 - 450 rnds. I believe that a stock 5 rnd AR mag will hold 2 450 BM rounds. That would give you a 2+1 config, if you were limited to 3 rnds somewhere.

Don't know that a special mag is required, if you can verify the capacities of the AR 5 and 10 rnd mags and have 450BM followers.

You didn't ask this, but for info: In Finland might be markets for those also. We have 3+1 for elk, and 2+1 for other game. Semi-auto rifles only, bolts are free. Our leaders has also decided that animals in here doesn't die if you shoot them with pistol..

Illinois only allows a 450 to be used when the firearm is a pistol and with that being said they don't allow a magazine to be inserted effectively making it a single shot (a sled is ok). This is not clearly defined in the rules and regs and I asked for clarity from the DNR.
