Has anyone done a 450 pistol?
Id like to make a 10.5-12.5" AR pistol but cant find any pistol length barrels. Id rather not buy a 16"+ barrel and habe it cut down but I suppose if thats my only option then I will.
So anybody know of any better options or have any experience with a pistol length 450 AR?

I have a 12.5" BHW barrel with a carbine length gas system. Runs just fine with hornady factory ammo and 225gr FTX at about 39gr.of Lilgun? I'll have to double check the 39gr, but I'm almost positive it's 39gr, if not, then it's 40gr, still well within book. You can custom order a BHW anytime you want, but it is costly, and you will have to wait a few months to receive it. I will say though, because of the characteristics of this cartridge, I would not go less than 12.5" on a carbine length gas system. At that point, go pistol length, just form a dependability stand point.

Oh, by the way, I'm looking for a cheap option for a 10.5" 450B upper with a pistol length gas system. Has to have a minimum of a 1:18" twist, 1:16" preferred. I want to play with sub's, and don't need anything longer, or a slower twist rate. I've been looking on and off, but haven't found anything. Let me know if you find something.
