Muzzle brakes

Hi all, new here. Not new to guns though. I am wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes a New York legal muzzle brake for the 450. I currently have the 450 upper mated with a preban lower which makes the flash hider legal. I am looking to use the preban lower for another build. I have contacted Bushmaster and they do not make one. The closest I have come is having one custom built by Evolution Gun Works. Great people to talk to. The only problem is that they want 160 dollars. Adco will get get 30 to pin and weld, so after shipping I will be probably be in the 250 range. I am going to go this route unless anyone here knows of any other companies making one. Also, if I do have the muzzle brake installed, will I have to re-sight in the scope? Thanks for reading.

You might check with Brownells or Numrich. Brownells carries tons of A/R goodies.

Educate us on what it takes in NY to be legal for a muzzle brake. Is it like NJ where is simply does not have flash hider capacity and is a muzzle brake only?

In New York muzzle brakes are legal, flash hiders are not, and they can't be "removable". The Izzy "brake" is sort of a combo unit and looks like a flash hider to your average game warden, and it has wrench flats, (removable).
I had a gentry brake made for my .450 while in NY to make it legal. As I'm back in SC now I'd sell it to you if you want. I think I paid $110 to have it made. I'd take $90 for it shipped to NY. It threads right on at the same diameter as the barrel, has no wrench flats, and a little green locktite or silver solder makes in NY legal according to the smith who had it made for me.
