I put Simmons on both my A bolt 30-06 and my M77MKII 7mm Rem. Mag
Back in 1996 and took them to Colorado two years in a row, shot a muley
Up there in 97 with the 7mm mag and killed several deer since with both
Guns and back in 2005, shot a coyote at over 100 yards at night from the
Roof of my friends house with the 7mm Mag. and the only light in the pasture was some ambient
Fluorescent light coming from the window of his chicken barn and the scopes
Have never lost their zero since 1996. I used to buy bushnell scopes
But my Marlin 22 mag bolt action and my Marlin 30-30 ate them like
Candy. I was buying a new scope every year for the 30-30. One year
I had just put on a brand new Bushnell 3X9X40 on the 30-30, took it
To the range and zeroed it, took it deer hunting that weekend and
missed a nice buck at about 80 yards. I saw the bullet hit about three feet
in front of the buck. Totally ruined the whole day, so I drove back to Memphis
Straight back to the range, sure enough, something inside the scope
Had come loose and my gun was hitting about 4 feet to the right and a foot low
At 100 yards. I never could get it to zero so I took it back and bought
A Simmons. I have never had a problem since. Now most all of my
Scopes are Simmons except for a tactical scope for my A/R 5.56 and the
ATN MK 350.
